Nancy has grown up in Dayton, Ohio, having a father who was an artist. She began her creating at a young age. Nancy graduated from Denison University with a BA and minor in art, and the University of Dayton with a MS. She taught HS art and English in Georgetown,TX and ran summer art programs. She has taken classes from Dayton artists and has continued learning art skills with a variety of online classes and local workshops. She is a member of DSA, Women’s TriArt and FAA. She has shown her work in juried shows/events:Rosewood “Works on Paper,” Dayton Society of Artists “Future of Female,” German Village Center, COShop, Middletown Art Center and Edward A Gallery “We’re Doing It All Wrong.”
Nancy has always had a passion for art which is inspired by the colors in nature. She photographs images on walks, gardens, and travel which inspire her for later paintings. She began expressing the beauty around her with watercolor. These past few years she has been experimenting with acrylics and mixed media, trying new techniques. She finds joy creating and discovering new methods by using a variety of skills and media. She likes to explore and see if she can find success. This growth helps her develop and not become static
