Artist Statement: My work is inspired by the natural world, folk art traditions, and the landscapes of rural upstate New York where I spent much of my childhood. Memories of gardens, forests, wildlife, and quiet moments outdoors continue to shape the imagery and themes that appear throughout my art.
Working primarily in mixed media, collage, and painting, I am drawn to symbolism and visual storytelling. Flowers, birds, and other natural elements often serve as metaphors for transformation, healing, resilience, and the ongoing journey of self-discovery. Through bright colors, layered textures, and found materials, I create work that celebrates growth, hope, and the beauty that can emerge from life's challenges.
