Jason Goad
Drawing, Painting
Jason Goad is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design and has been a freelance illustrator for over 25 years. Throughout his journey as an artist he has done everything from gigposter and music merch design to creating graphics for Hot Wheels, motorcycle helmets, and guitar pedals. As a fine artist, Jason also creates paintings in a variety of styles ranging from portraiture to abstract using watercolors and acrylics.
My work represents a wide array of my interests. Sometimes I use the comic books, movies, toys, and video games that shaped my childhood as inspiration. Sometimes it’s portraiture, including public figures as well as friends and family. And sometimes, I just feel like letting go and work instinctually through automatic drawing and abstract painting techniques. I remain curious about new ways to get my ideas across and am always open to learning new techniques
