My Artistic Journey of Faith

A Message of Gratitude and Purpose Blessings to all. I want to share my steps as I continue on my journey in using my art to glorify God. This path began in 2007 when I prayed and asked God how I could fulfill the desire to use the gift He gave me. In response, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to create a way for people to engage with His word—to encourage others to pick up a Bible and seek a message from God. That inspiration led me to include book, chapter, and verse references in my drawings, giving each piece a title. The intention was for viewers to find these references, look them up, and discover which one matched the title of the art. I named this collection my Holy Inspired Series.

Early Challenges and Persistence

However, the journey was not straightforward. I struggled to find the right venues to share my work with others, and my efforts were often inconsistent—sometimes reaching people, but many times not. After several attempts with little progress, I paused and tried again multiple times over the years. During these periods, I continued to study the word of God, seeking to deepen my relationship with Him, understand my place in His Kingdom, and, most importantly, learn how the Holy Spirit works in my life. I realize now that when I first set out to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance in my art, I did not truly understand what that meant. That lack of understanding is why my efforts did not flourish then.

Growth Through Faith and Patience

As I devoted more time to studying God's word, my desire to fulfill His will for my life grew stronger. Gradually, I began to see things happen that traced back to that first prayer twenty years ago. While it saddens me that it took so long to reach this understanding, I am filled with joy knowing that it is never too late when God takes control and the Holy Spirit leads. I am still a work in progress, but each step forward is shaped by God’s will—His plan to use the gift He gave me to honor Him. It brings me great joy to be a vessel filled by the Holy Spirit. Although I do not always know what the next day will bring, I trust God and the Holy Spirit to guide me each day.
